[origin: EP1251090A2] The device has a swing feeder (2) to transfer a sheet from a feeder table (1) to a rotating cylinder (3). A pneumatic sheet guide (21) is positioned, in direction of rotation (19) of the cylinder, in front of a transfer position (20) of a sheet, and extends across the whole width of the cylinder. The sheet guide is for diversion of a slip stream generated by the cylinder jacket (16) and a facing side of the sheet to be removed, and to generate a vacuum between jacket and sheet. The sheet guide is formed by a suction box (22) charged with a vacuum.
