Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0156724A1] The invention concerns a roller-equipped guide segment in a continuous casting facility. At least a certain number of rollers are distributed in three axially aligned roller bodies (4a, 5, 6) with the purpose of absorbing as much mechanical load as possible for receiving the supporting force. Only the external roller bodies (4, 6) are axially fixed by means of their external bearings, which are configured in the form of fixed bearings. The central roller body (5) is float mounted. All inner bearings (4b, 6a) of the external roller bodies (4, 6), which are configured as movable bearings, and both bearings (8b, 9a) of the central roller body are configured in the form of high load capacity movable bearings, especially in the form of CARB bearings. The free axial of the float mounted central roller body (5) is limited by stops (11, 12a, 12b, 13) that are configured as stop disks and mounted between the opposite front faces of the central roller body (5) and the external roller body (4, 6).
