[origin: WO0155149A1] The invention relates to a method for producing the compound of formula (I), by reacting the compound of formula (III) with oxalyl chloride and treating the product obtained with hydrazine and an alkali metal hydroxide in the aqueous phase at elevated temperatures. Once the treatment is terminated, a 3-phase system is established by adding an ether, and the compound of formula (I) is obtained by acidifying the middle phase. The invention further relates in to a polymorphous form of the compound of formula (I).
