[origin: FR2823695A1] The compacting head is supported on the rubbish by a toothed roller (1) connected to a rotational drive from a support shaft (2). Deflectors (3) mounted near the drive push the rubbish into the roller driving space and guide it to a cutting zone where it is sliced by a circular cutter (4) rotating at the end of the roller. The cutter engages a groove to ensure a shearing effect.

L'invention concerne une tête de compactage de déchets, destinée à être montée mobile dans une cuve fixe de réception des déchets à compacter, en appui sur lesdits déchets par un rouleau denté (1) à des moyens d'entraînement en rotation sur lui-même à partir d'un arbre support (2). Elle comporte des moyens déflecteurs (3) montés fixes au voisinage desdits moyens d'entraînement pour repousser les déchets à l'écart desdits moyens d'entraînement dudit rouleau et pour guider ceux qui s'en approchent néanmoins jusqu'à une zone de découpe où ils sont soumis à l'action de moyens tranchants (4). <IMAGE>
