Office printer or fax machine has a paper feeder with two paper trays (1, 3) for two different parts of the machine and means for selecting sheets from each tray with selection rollers (7, 8, 10) mounted on a shaft (9) with means for rotating the shaft. Means for driving the shaft are such that it can be rotated in either sense. The shaft is common to paper selection for both trays and has at least two free-wheeling rollers that rotate with the shaft in opposite directions.

La machine comprend un chargeur d'alimentation de feuilles de papier comprenant deux magasins de stockage de feuilles respectivement pour deux organes distincts de la machine, et des moyens de prélèvement des feuilles de chaque magasin, comportant au moins un galet (7, 8, 10) de prélèvement monté sur un arbre (9), avec des moyens d'entraînement de l'arbre (9) en rotation. Les moyens d'entraînement de l'arbre (9) en rotation sont agencés pour l'entraîner dans les deux sens, l'arbre (9) est commun aux moyens de prélèvement des deux magasins et l'arbre (9) porte au moins deux galets de prélèvement à roue libre (7, 8, 10) solidaires en rotation de l'arbre (9) respectivement dans deux sens opposés. L'invention s'applique bien aux télécopieurs. <IMAGE>
