Production of a builder composition comprises mixing a crystalline layered sodium silicate (I) with water or an aqueous solution or dispersion of at least one detergent ingredient in a specified (I):water molar ratio. Production of a builder composition comprises mixing a crystalline layered sodium silicate of formula NaMSixO2x-1.yH2O (I) with water or an aqueous solution or dispersion of at least one detergent ingredient in a (I):water molar ratio of 0.5-20:1, and heat-treating the mixture at 30-400 degrees C for 0.5-1000 minutes. M = Na or H; x = 1.9-4; y = 0-20.

Die Erfindung betrifft Builder-Zusammensetzungen mit verbessertem Löserückstandsverhalten, erhältlich durch miteinander In-Kontakt-Bringen von a) kristallinem schichtförmigem Natriumsilicat der Formel NaMSixO2x+1 * yH2O, wobei M Natrium oder Wasserstoff, x eine Zahl von 1,9 bis 4 und y eine Zahl von 0 bis 20 bedeuten, und b) Wasser oder einer wässrigen Lösung bzw. Dispersion mindestens eines Waschmittelinhaltsstoffes, c) wobei das molare Verhältnis der Komponente a) zum Wasser aus der Komponente b) 0,5:1 bis 20:1 beträgt, und nachträglichem Wärmebehandeln der so erhaltenen Builder-Zusammensetzungen bei 30 bis 400°C für 0,5 bis 1000 min.
