Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1253222A2] A synthetic fiber (17) melt-spinning assembly and winding is assembly secured within a spinning machine frame (1) with a number of feed units (4, 5) and a winder unit (3). The spinning stage, feed and winder units are all installed within the machine frame to create esp. an N-profiled thread feed pattern. A module-holder (6) is located within the inclined thread section between the spinning stage and winding unit. The holder (6) can receive one or more stacked interchangeable thread process modules esp. powered galette modules and an overflow roller. One of the galettes is heated. The modules are symmetrical and may be presented at 0 degrees , 90 degrees , 180 degrees or 270 degrees to the holder (6). The feeder units (4, 5) each form part of modular feed modules (15.1, 15.2), one of which (15.1) is directly below the spinning station, the other (15.2) being directly overhead the winder unit (3).
