[origin: EP1253265A2] The cap for a rectangular or quadratic wooden post is the post head by a pin-type component and is formed as a half ring (1). The diameter of the half ring is somewhat smalleer than the width measurement (10) of the post head (7). The half ring is made of sprung material and the connecting component (2) is welded to the apex of the half ring. The connecting component has a point, can be a nail with a cylindricall shaft, a comb nail with peripheral grooves, or a screw nail.
