A retarded locking mechanism is used, in which the journal (44) cooperating with the guide slot (38) is mounted on a pivotable lever (36) with an ex central mass (46, 48). In the event of a strong deceleration force acting upon the mechanism in the locking direction, the ex central mass exerts a force on the lever that pushes the journal to one side of the slot, where the journal is also urged during locking of the mechanism.

Um ein selbsttätiges Öffnen einer Schublade (10) während eines Unfalls zu verhindern schlägt die Erfindung vor, eine zum Geschlossenhalten der Schublade (10) verwendete Push-Push-Verriegelungsmechanik als Trägheitsverriegelungsmechanik auszubilden. Dazu ist ein Zapfen (44) der Verriegelungsmechanik auf einem schwenkbaren Winkelhebel (36) angeordnet, der ein Zusatzgewicht (48) aufweist, das bei einem Unfall ein Moment auf den Hebel (36) ausübt, welches ein Freikommen des Zapfens (44) von einem Herzzapfen (52) einer Herzkurve (38) verhindert (Figur 1). <IMAGE>
