Identity card holder for combines the functions of photographic identity pass and electronic key. The electronic key interacts via a short-range interface to undo the electronic cylinder of an electronic lock. Independent claims are made for an access control method with the following steps: reading of data records including lock information from the storage region of a microcontroller housed in an identity card and a method for combining company pass and key functions.
