[origin: WO0159223A1] The invention relates to a rinsing device, comprising a rinse basin (1), with an odour lock (8), on a base piece (7) and a rinsing channel (2) with rinsing openings (14, 15, 16) on the upper edge (3). The rinsing openings (14) in a front region (13) of the rinsing channel (2) have a greater throughflow than those rinsing openings arranged to the side (15, 16). The rinsing openings in said front region (13) are arranged asymmetrically and the rinsing water (17) forms a rinsing vortex (17c) in the basin (11). The rinsing device permits an effective rinsing with less rinsing water.
