[origin: DE10006252A1] The spacer comprises a ring-shaped support (10) having on the top side several uniformly spaced radial webs (11) each divided into a lower section (11c) and an upper section (11b) which can be broken or cut off from the lower section. An ideal break line preferably runs between the upper and lower sections. The upper section is shorter than the lower section so that a contact bearing face (11d) is formed on the lower section for a cutting tool. Independent claim describes base plate which has grooves whose depth is half the width of the lower web section.
