Abstract (en)
[origin: WO0151823A1] An elastic universal joint has two prongs lying opposite each other, the ends (1a, 2a) of said prongs being offset from each other by 90 DEG in a peripheral direction. Said prong ends are interconnected by a movable journal cross (3) in a manner enabling them to pivot and enabling the transmission of torques. Pivot pins are (4, 5 or 4a, 5a) are rigidly interconnected in pairs. Each pivot pin (4, 5 or 4a, 5a) is flush with a connecting pin (10) lying outwards in an axial direction. Each of the connecting pins (10) supports an elastomer bushing (11). Each elastomer bushing (11) is accommodated in a receiving bore (11) of a rigid peripheral ring (15). These elastomer bushings (11) cause elastic decoupling in an axial and peripheral direction in the presence of torsion forces.
