[origin: WO0148395A1] The invention concerns a high performance torque transmitting device, in particular for a wind machine, comprising a casing (3) mounted freely rotating about a support beam (4) whereon are fixed the blades (1) of the wind machine and wherein is housed a mechanism for multiplying (5) the nominal speed of said blades (1) which co-operate both with the casing (3) and the output shaft (6) designed to be coupled in particular to a generator. The invention is characterised in that the casing (3) is mounted rotating freely about the support beam (4) via a conical ball bearing (C) arranged at each end of the casing (3), said casing (3) resting on the outer ring of the ball bearings (C).
