Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0157589A1] The invention relates to an electrochromic dimmer system that comprises two planar electrodes disposed on a first and a second support, respectively, and one electrochromic layer system, one of the layers thereof being interposed between the electrodes. The electrodes are provided with contact elements via which they can be connected to a voltage/current source. An annular conductive element is disposed in the zone of the peripheral edge of the electrode of the first support. Said annular conductive element is pressed on the zone of the peripheral edge of the second support receiving the second electrode while interposing a conductive layer, if desired. At least one feedthrough is provided in the zone of the peripheral edge of the second support, said feedthrough being designed to connect the electrode to the current/voltage source.
