Abstract (en)
A method for fitting hinges, and other fittings, to doors and windows with a hollow construction has a support block held inside the hollow space via pins, or other fasteners, set across the frame. The block is securely held by more two or more fasteners. The hinges and other fittings are secured by threaded fasteners secured into the block without the risk of compressing the internal insulation in the frame. The design is applicable for fixed and movable frames.

Die Einrichtung zur Befestigung eines Beschlagteils an einem Hohlprofil (1) umfasst mindestens ein Befestigungsmittel, das die äußere Anlagefläche (14) des Hohlprofils (1) durchsetzt und mindestens ein Befestigungsglied (24), das die zur äußeren Anlagefläche (14) quer verlaufenden Profilwandungen (27, 28) durchsetzt. Das mindestens eine Befestigungsglied fixiert mindestens ein im Innern des Hohlprofils (1) vorgesehenes Verankerungsmittel (19) derart, daß das Verankerungsmittel (19) Abstand zur inneren, der äußeren Anlagefläche (14) gegenüberliegenden Wandung des Hohlprofils (1) aufweist, und greift in das Verankerungsmittel (19) ein. <IMAGE>
