[origin: EP1255013A2] Furniture mounting, especially a hinge (1), having an integrated braking and damping device comprises a hinge arm (6) fixed on a furniture part and a hinge cup (10) fixed on a moving furniture part and movably connected to the hinge arm via at least one hinge lever (7, 9). At least one slide (13) directly or indirectly operated by the hinge lever is provided in the region of the hinge cup or hinge arm. The slide has at least one slide face sliding along a fixed slide face of the hinge. A highly viscous liquid medium (16) is inserted between the slide faces. Preferred Features: The slide is movably arranged on the hinge cup, and the fixed slide face is formed by the outer base (11) of the hinge cup.
