[origin: EP1255171A2] The device has at least one corona wire (5,5') and a guide device for print media (7) with bridges over the interior of the charging or discharging device (2,3) in the transport direction (10). The guide device has narrow tongues (18,18') beneath the bridges on the side facing the corona wire(s). The tongues extend into the edge regions of the device parallel to the corona wire(s). AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a guide device for use in an inventive device.
