Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0156659A1] The invention relates to a pilot burner, especially for a fire-fighting training installation. Said pilot burner comprises an air supply, a gas supply, a power supply, a mixing chamber for producing an air-gas mixture, an ignition element, comprising an ignition plug or the like, that is functionally linked with the power supply, a flame outlet, and an outer shell and an inner shell. The air supply opens into the space between the outer shell and the inner shell and the gas supply opens into the interior of the inner shell. The mixing chamber is at least partially disposed in the intermediate space between the outer shell and the inner shell. The inner shell, in the zone of the mixing chamber, is provided with openings for the entry of gas into the mixing chamber. An ignition electrode runs at least partially within the inner shell and extends from the ignition plug to at least one earth electrode that is disposed in the outer shell in the terminal zone of the flame outlet of the outer shell. The air supply, the gas supply and the power supply are disposed in the terminal zone of the outer shell opposite the flame outlet.
