[origin: WO0151612A1] The process described herein concerns the production of non-human mammalian embryos of predetermined sex, with high-genetic value. The process uses frozen semen, frozen according to EU regulations, obtained from animals selected for their genetic characteristics at Semen Collection Centres, which is thawed and sexed by flow-cytometry. Sexed spermatozoa are used for the <i>in vitro</i> fertilisation of oocytes of a compatible animal species for the <i>in vitro</i> production of embryos of predetermined sex. The operating conditions of the present process allow the use of frozen semen.
