Abstract (en)
[origin: GB2358882A] A support device for adjustably supporting structural members of a conservatory roof has a hub with at least one vertical outwardly opening channel (9). The channel (9) retains a radially extending arm member (11) adapted for vertically pivoted movement, preferably by providing the arm (11) with a pivoted joint (13a) between a first (11) and second part of the arm (13). There is also a means for retaining the arm (11) at a desired location along the channel preferably by using an adjustment screw located in the lower end of the channel bore (9). The channel (9) can be substantially circular in cross-section and the arm (11) may have a spigot (15, fig 2) for engagement in the channel (9). A number of channels and arms can be present and the diameter of the channels can be such, to allow the arms to swivel from side to side, thus altering the spacing between arms.
