Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0161826A1] The invention relates to a device, especially a combined motor/generator device (1; 101), for converting electric energy into mechanical energy and/or vice versa. The inventive device comprises a rotor (123), a stator (2; 102), at least two electric connections and at least three coils (3a to 3d, 4a to 4d, 5a to 5d; 103a, 103b) which are distributed in the direction of circumference (6; 106) and are provided with two coil connections (9, 13; 109, 113) respectively. The inventive device is characterised in that the coil connections (9, 13; 109, 113) can be connected to one another and/or to the electric connections in a predetermined manner and using a rotatable switching means that extends in the direction of circumference (6; 106).
