[origin: EP1256392A2] Drawing unit comprises: (a) a track module (6a) connected to a further track module (6b) to form a through track; and (b) a holding element module (10a) to stop a drawing tool. The drive for each drawing carriage of the unit comprises a linear motor for independent movement along the track, in which the track is part of the linear motor. An Independent claim is also included for a drawing train containing the drawing units.
