Tensioned structure, essentially for use as a temporary shelter, comprising at least one unit (100), said unit comprising a net of longitudinal elements (1), said net consisting of: a first and a second family of longitudinal elements (1a,1b), said elements of each family being essentially parallel in a flat condition of said unit, each of said elements having a variable length, means (2) for holding together said longitudinal elements of said first family and said longitudinal elements of said second family in the nodal points, being the points where said elements of said first and second family overlap, said means (2) allowing elements of both families to rotate and to slide relative to each other. <IMAGE>
