[origin: WO0154463A1] The present invention relates to an arrangement for adjusting a number of settings in an x-ray imaging apparatus (10) for recurrent mammography examinations, said apparatus comprising at least one x-ray source (11), a collimator arrangement (12) and compression pedals (13a, 13b) for positioning and compressing the breast (14) of a patient to be examined. The arrangement comprises: control units (16-19) for adjusting said number of settings of said x-ray imaging apparatus based on an identity of said person to be examined and data stored in a database (21), said data including a set of setting-data from at least one recent x-ray examination of said patient, a main control unit (15) communicating with a control unit (16) for adjusting characteristics of x-ray radiations from said x-ray source (11), a control unit (17) for adjusting the position of said x-ray source (11) and an identity input device (20). The arrangement further comprises a device (19) for adjsuting collimator slots widths based on information retrieved from said database and/or a position of said pedals.
