The adjuster consists of a tension-loaded draw lever (5) pivoted at one end to the spring holder (44) and engaged with the backrest support (3) at variable distance from the axis (33). The driver pin (53) used to engage the lever with the support (3) is fitted to the lever (5) in a slot (35) whose ends are variably spaced from the axis (33).
