Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1258352A1] The assembly to cool a paper web (14), at a rotary printing press where the web has passed through a hot air dryer, uses the heat from a heater (2,10) to give an evaporation cooling to a coolant (52) which is delivered to the cooling station (12) where the web passes through. Part of the coolant is evaporated, and the other part of the coolant is chilled by the extraction of vapor heat. The vapor is developed in at least one generator (26), powered by steam. An underpressure is formed for a vacuum chamber (50) where the coolant is partially evaporated and chilled.
