[origin: EP1258448A1] The component part gripper in modular format is for large plate parts, particularly motor vehicle bodywork, and comprises tubular parts joined to one another by clamp blocks and node pieces. As frame, a grid mast triangular in cross-section comprising tubes is arranged, of which two longitudinal tubes (1,2) are at the top and support one or more connecting parts (4). One longitudinal tube (3) is located at the bottom. On all longitudinal tubes by means of clamp blocks (8,9,10) and node pieces (14,20) three tube pieces (11,12,13) are brought together to form a boom, which at the node point supports intermediate pieces (15,27) for accommodation of grippers (16,17), suction units, hangers, stops (22) and similar components.
