[origin: WO0161811A1] The invention relates to a housing for receiving electric and/or electronic assemblies, comprising a body which has two vertical profiled limbs in the region of the front side thereof. Holders facing towards the inside of the housing are fixed on both profiled limbs. The holders have a supporting section. Supports for subassemblies having a standardized mounting width can be fixed in between the profiled limbs with the aid of said supporting section. The supporting sections of the holders can be displaced by a control device in the direction of the width of the housing, moving backwards and forth in between two assembly positions, in order to provide a housing offering increased variability in relation to the mounting facilities contained therein. The assembly positions respectively characterize a standardized width measurement.
