Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1260439A1] The strapping device has a base plate with bearing surface (2a) for mounting on the packed goods and a tensioner for tightening up the strap. The tensioner, closing tool as well as cutters (21) for the strap are detachably fixed on the strapping device by fasteners and several fasteners are configured so that they can be actuated by the same tool. The closing tool can comprise a matrix and ram for clamping the two strap layers together.
