Abstract (en)

Applying a metal coating comprises applying a galvanic metal coating to graphite components after they have been subjected to an alkaline anodic caustic bath. An Independent claim is also included for a process for the production of a solder join with a graphite component. Preferred Features: A lead layer is formed on the graphite components before the metal coating is applied. The lead layer is reinforced by the current-less deposition of nickel or copper. The caustic bath has a temperature of 20-70 degrees C.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein neues Verfahren zur Metallbeschichtung von Graphitbauteilen, bei dem nach einem alkalischen anodischen Ätzbad der Graphitbauteile eine galvanische Metallschicht aufgebracht wird. Die Metallschicht kann als Grundlage für Lötverbindungen dienen und zur elektrischen Kontaktierung oder mechanischen Halterung des Graphitbauteils verwendet werden oder andere Anforderungen an die Oberfläche (z.B. Abriebbeständigkeit) erfüllen.
