Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2806094A1] The combination of phosphate and polysulfide compounds of the invention provides an excellent multifunctional lubricant with oiliness, anti-wear and extreme pressure properties. The multifunctional lubricant comprises a phosphorus compound(A) and a sulfur compound(B). The compound (A) is a phosphoric ester of general formula : (HO)3 - x - P(=O)-((OCkH2k)-OR)x k = 2 or 3; m = 0 - 8; x = 1 or 2 ; R = 10 - 20C linear alkyl or alkenyl or a salt of such an ester ; (B) is a polysulfide of general formula: - R<1> - Sy - R<1> y = 2 - 8 ; R<1> = 4 - 18C tertio-alkyl. The weight ratio of A / B is between 0.01 / 1 and 1 / 1.
