[origin: WO0166860A1] The invention relates to an accessory for a road finishing machine. The aim of the invention is to provide an inexpensive accessory that requires little transport space and that facilitates the laying of two road toppings which may also consist of different materials in an economical way when combined with a conventional road finishing machine. The inventive accessory should allow for an easy conversion of the system in order to facilitate the laying of multi-layer road toppings as well as monolayer road toppings. The inventive accessory is used in road finishing machines which are used to lay and compact at least one road topping layer. The road finishing machine comprises an undercarriage with a drive system, a first storage container for the material, a driver's cab, a distributor, a transport device and a compaction bar. The inventive accessory comprises means that facilitate, in combination with the road finishing machine, the simultaneous hot-on-hot laying of two layers, said means consisting of at least one storage container for the material, a transport device, a distribution device and a compaction bar.
