[origin: DE10011110A1] The invention relates to a method for detecting faults in a cooling system (1) comprising several cooling points (2, 3, 4). According to the invention, the cooling point (2, 3, 4) subjected to the highest load is continuously determined according to a predetermined schema. In doing this, it is desirable to be able to detect possible faults as early as possible. To this end, a load pattern of the cooling points (2, 3, 4) is established and a warning is generated when at least one predetermined parameter deviates from said load pattern.
