Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0169618A1] The invention relates to an emergency shutdown key which comprises an actuating head (2) and a key guiding device (4). The aim of the invention is to use said key by means of an unlocking mechanism involving drawing and an unlocking mechanism involving drawing and rotating and to easily assemble said key. The key guiding device (4) is provided with at least one first guiding path (21) that extends in parallel in relation to the longitudinal axis and has a locking means (20) which can be immerged into said first guiding path (21) and is exposed to the effects of a spring. A first projection (37) is arranged in the first guiding path (21). The first guiding path (21) and the first projection (37) are configured in such a way that unlocking is only possible by means of drawing and that the key guiding device (4) is provided with a second guiding path (26) that extends in parallel in relation to the first guiding path (21). The locking means (20) can be introduced into said second guiding path (26). A second projection (22) is arranged in the second guiding path (26). The second guiding path (26) and the second projection (22) are configured in such a way that locking is only possible by means of rotating, whereby the locking means (20) is introduced into the first guiding path (21) or the second guiding path (26).
