[origin: WO0161812A1] The invention relates to a housing for receiving electric and/or electronic assemblies, comprising two covers which are arranged at a distance from each other and which are joined by means of parallel profiled limbs extending vertically with respect to the covers. At least one of the sides of the housing extending vertically with respect to the cover is at least partially covered by a side wall which has at least one edge which is bent in the direction leading towards the cover, said end overlapping with at least one flange of the cover. In order to assemble the side walls of the housing in a quick and simple manner, the flange of the cover is provided with one or several openings which are aligned with the openings of the edge of the side wall and a projection of a connecting element engages with the openings which are aligned with each other. At least partial areas of the projection rest against the inner contour of the openings.
