[origin: EP1262240A1] A switching valve (8), arranged within a spray head (2), is operated through a u-shaped bail (6) pivotably mounted on a water-guiding portion (24) and is connected to a diverting valve mounted in a housing (7). The valve member of the diverting valve is longitudinally moved during movement of the bail by the user's thumb when the housing is grasped.
