Abstract (en)
Laminated floor covering material, comprises compressible and optionally adhesive seal between interlocking sections. The floor covering material is in sections (1, 3) with interlocking joints (15, 17), each section comprising a first rigid layer (5) with a visible surface and protective layer (7) e.g. of varnish, oil or wax, a second rigid and mechanically-resistant layer (9) with the interlocking joint members and a compressible seal (21) and a solid counterbalancing layer (11). The seal can be of a malleable polyolefin adhesive that sticks repeatedly to adjacent surfaces at ambient temperature.
