[origin: WO0149456A1] The invention relates to a surface treating device that comprises a main shot-blasting wheel (2), mounted on the exterior, for ejecting a shot material, which wheel is provided with main blades (2.1). Concentrically thereto, an auxiliary shot-blasting wheel (1) is centrally provided with auxiliary blades (1.1). A stationary guide sleeve (3) that encloses the auxiliary shot-blasting wheel on its circumference comprises at least one through opening (3.1) and is axially connected on one end to a feed line (4) for feeding the shot material. The aim of the invention is to obtain a substantially uniform blast pattern and a substantially uniform wear of the shot-blasting wheel. To this end, the auxiliary shot-blasting blades (1.1), when seen from a side view, are rectangular or stepped or bent with respect to the axis of rotation. In the radial direction, the auxiliary blades are flat or with respect to one direction of rotation bent in a convex or concave shape. The front edges of the auxiliary blades (1.1) and the main blades (2) facing the feed line (4) share substantially the same plane that is perpendicular to the axis.
