[origin: EP1264564A1] A furniture carcase for assembly from a flatpack, and without using special tools has a work surface (16) supported on a frame comprising side walls (2), a bottom shelf and a wall mounted frame. The side walls are assembled from upper (5) and lower (8) struts linked by vertical struts (7) attached by press-fit couplings (9). The wall frame (2) is secured to the wall on adjustable fittings and the weight of the carcase is supported on the floor on adjustable feet. The required size of carcase is assembled from the basic elements using only simple tools.
