Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1264618A1] The ski for alpine skiing has a central area (2) and two ends (3,4). It has a core and upper and lower reinforcing layers forming a variable cross section to control torsion and flexing of the ski. The ski has at least one localized cut out (20,21) which creates a localized deformation zone between the areas of the ski (23,24) up and downstream of the cut outs.
