[origin: EP1264662A1] The superfinishing machine has an abrasive belt mounted on a support bar (4). A rounded engagement pad (7) is mounted on the bar vertically to follow the shape of the surface to be finished. Two guide rods (10) are positioned on each side of the pad to deflect the belt over the pad surface, so that the belt path has two sections parallel to the axis of the contact pad.
