The carrying handle (5) is for a tool (1) which acts at least partly along a hammering axis (A), with a hammering mechanism and a rotatable tool receiver (3). The handle is connected to a swivel (4) to form a single functional unit fixed to the tool receiver and possibly detachable from it. The handle may be of a closed stirrup shape.
