[origin: EP1264772A2] The system has a combination of at least one bearer and useful layer. A stamped part of the useful layer forms the material strip. A first alignment arrangement is in the form of at least one stamping and the second is a complementary protrusion. The combination with the stamping is suspended in the protrusion so that an irreversible fit exists between the combination and the arrangement. The device has a combination (1) of at least one bearer layer and at least one useful layer, whereby a stamped part of the useful layer forms the material strip or label (10.1), with an alignment arrangement and a device for applying the flexible strip to the flat object with a fixing arrangement and an alignment arrangement. The first alignment arrangement is at least one stamping and the second is a complementary protrusion. The combination with the stamping is suspended in the protrusion so that an irreversible fit exists between the combination and the device.
