[origin: EP1264926A2] The dosing device has a closable output device (8,18) for a defined or definable number of cleaning medium units, a transport arrangement (9,10) for transporting cleaning medium units to the output device, a position detector (20) for the transport arrangement and a controller (18) that controls the output device depending on the position of the transport arrangement. Independent claims are also included for (a) the dishwasher and (b) the textile washing machine.
