[origin: EP1264933A2] Railway track machine (1) comprises a ballast clearing device (7) and a machine frame (5) moving along a track (3) on a rail chassis (4). At the rear end (17) of the machine two crawler chassis (18) arranged a distance apart in the transverse direction are connected to the machine frame. The height of the crawler chassis is adjusted by a drive (19). Preferred Features: The crawler chassis are arranged directly behind the rear rail chassis. A discharge part (21) of the clearing device is arranged between the crawler chassis and the rail chassis. The clearing device is an endless clearing chain (10) rotated by a drive (9) around the rear rail chassis. A track-lifting device (12) is provided in the region of the rear rail chassis.
