[origin: EP1265029A2] The system includes a flow channel (10) between the premix burner (1) and the combustion chamber (5). The channel is bounded by side walls which form a gradual transition between the flow cross section (C1) and the combustion chamber cross section (C2). At least one flow breakaway structure is provided within the flow channel or downstream of it to detach the through-flow mixture from the side wall locally.
