Abstract (en)

[origin: WO0170567A1] The invention relates to a device for cleaning the hull exterior (3) of a boat (2), comprising a rectangular, flat and flexible floating body (5), with a handle (11), fixed to one end of the floating body (5). At least one cleaning means (7) is fixed to one flat surface (8) of the floating body (5), preferably with an exchangeable fit. On the flat surface (8) of the floating body (5) opposite to the cleaning means (7), a base plate (10) with a connector element is arranged and the floating body (5) and the handle (11) are connected to each other, by the connector element (12), in a manner flexible with respect to each other. The aim of the invention is to produce a cleaning device, with which the various hull profiles can be exactly and simply followed, whilst exerting a constantly suitable pressure. Said aim is achieved whereby at least one body (19), fillable with gas, is embedded in the material of the floating body (5), such that the gas-fillable body (19) may be pressurised by an in- and outlet valve (21) arranged on the handle (11), in particular, on the grip part (11a) of the handle (11).
