Abstract (en)

[origin: US2003029962A1] The invention relates to a device for unwinding or applying adhesive tape, especially double-sided adhesive tape, to be unwound from a roil of adhesive tape(5). Said device is comprised of a discoid unwinding body (1) and of a roll accommodating device (2) which can be placed thereon, whereby the unwinding body and the accommodating device share a common central axis, around which the roll of adhesive tape (5) rotates during unwinding. The discoid unwinding body (1) has a supporting surface (3) on which one side of the roll of adhesive tape roll fully rests, and from which the accommodating device (2) protrudes. The outer diameter of the roll accommodating device is smaller than the inside diameter of the roll of adhesive tape (5) to be accommodated thereon to such an extent that the roll can be easily inserted onto the roll accommodating device (2).
