[origin: WO0171214A1] The invention relates to a power-selectable, multi-ratio reversing gear which is driven using an input shaft (3) and outputs power using an output shaft (28) that is located coaxially in relation to the input shaft (3). The power-selectable, multi-ratio, reversing gear has a power take-off (10) which is positioned at a distance from the input shaft (3). The shaft (10) of the power take-off is linked to the input shaft via fixed gears (9, 8) and bears an idler (15) of a transfer gear set (19). The layshafts (5, 7, 10, 26, 27, 29) are arranged in a circle around the input shaft (3), enabling the production of a very compact power-selectable, multi-ratio reversing gear that extends uniformly in a radial direction and provides a coaxial drive and output action (3, 28) and a separately located power take-off (10).
